Our Visit

We had an absolutely fabulous day. We met Ibssa today!  We weren't allowed to tell him who we were, we just played with all of the kids.  I was a very proud parent when he recited the alphabet using a pointer and a chart. It's hard to believe but they all know what angry birds are. Lol.

We met one of the families that I met online. They ended up staying at a different guest house :-( We ended up having lunch with them at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant. Now we will see of the dukurol really works. Lol. You eat with your hands. It's basically different kinds of meat and bean mush that you eat with what seems like a very thin pancake. Injera.

We had a really good breakfast followed by a coffee ceremony this morning. It was really good.

The guest house is way better than I imagined. We have a whole floor to ourselves.

Tomorrow we are going to our drivers house for a celebration. We want to experience as much culture as we can. The other couple is going to. It might be time for the dukurol to kick in again. There is so much to see and do good thing we have two months.

  1. You guys both look wonderful! Like expectant parents! Lunch looks colourful and delicious, hope it agreed with you! So glad you met another couple to share these experiences with. Equally glad you got a blog up and running, the other was very frustrating. Blessings.
