A Restful Day

Ibssa had an unsettled night, tossing and turning  Somehow he manages to turn 90 degrees in his bed and we get up and turn him back cause he can’t get comfortable and fidgets more.  He didn't have this problem when he was at orphanage - I wonder why??

Ibssa's bed at the orphanage was the most right blue bed.

As normal Ibssa wakes up around 6:30 and climbs in bed with us.  From that time forward, he just wants to play so of course there’s no more sleep for us.   After another half hour we’re getting up whether we want to or not.

Breakfast seems pretty routine anymore.  Ibssa and Dad set the table as Karen prepares breakfast.  Ibssa always eats well and again loves his Nutella.

The morning started with rain so we just had a relaxing time inside.  I think we're paying for the sun we had yesterday.  By mid morning the rain ceased so Ibssa and I headed outside to play.  Again once we got outside, the guesthouse owners son was outside so off Ibssa went.  After about half an hour he was done and we headed inside.

We watched some TV – cartoons.  Some cartoons seem to be universal – Ibssa obviously watched cartoons Barney and Tom & Jerry before.

We had left over chili for lunch and then shortly after it was nap time.

While Ibssa was napping, Karen used Skype to call her mom and we gave her a I visual tour of the guesthouse.  It was her first time to see Ibssa although he was sleeping.  While Karen was talking to her mom, Ibssa woke up so I brought him out.  Although still sleepy eyed and shy, Grandma was able to talk to her new grandson.  Ibssa didn’t say anything, he just kind of stared at the computer screen somewhat unsure what he was seeing – the computer was talking to him.

Another Canadian couple from Edmonton arrived at the guesthouse this morning.  Dave, Heather, Faith and Thomas Reich are adopting a six year old.  Faith is 9 and Thomas is 6 so Bereket will have kids his age right away to play with.

We got a ride to the restaurant for an early supper with the Reich’s as it looked like it was going to rain.  Sure enough another downpour during supper.  We were going to walk home but thought we had better get a cab as it was now dark and rainy.

By the time we got back to the guesthouse it was already 7:30 so we got Ibssa ready for bed, gave him his medicine for his ears and had him tucked in by 8.

He starting to get a cough so I hope it’s not nothing the sticks around.  Only time will tell.
